Pramono further stressed that this partnership will accelerate the creation of a stronger tourism and creative industry ecosystem, one capable of attracting significant investment and generating new employment opportunities. The outcome, he said, will position Jakarta as a city better equipped to meet international benchmarks.
Beyond Ancol and JIS revitalization, the Provincial Government of Jakarta has also committed to extending its collaboration with BTN for the Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM). The marathon is projected to draw 50,000 runners in 2027, coinciding with the 500th anniversary of Jakarta, and is seen as a milestone for international sporting events in the city. Additionally, Pramono underscored the importance of organizing a grand Jakarta Halal Fair, to be staged in one of three iconic venues: the National Monument (Monas), Lapangan Banteng, or Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM).
