The city-owned enterprise, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), has announced the implementation of a full operational service pattern beginning on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time. Under this scheme, the MRT line will serve passengers across its main corridor, running from Lebak Bulus Station in South Jakarta to Bundaran HI Bank Jakarta Station in Central Jakarta. The service is designed around weekend schedules with seven train sets deployed. Headways will be set at 10 minutes, ensuring a consistent flow of trains throughout the day.
However, the company clarified that Istora Mandiri Station will remain closed during this operational pattern. Passengers who normally rely on this station are being urged to adjust their travel routes accordingly. PT MRT Jakarta recommended the use of nearby alternative stations to minimize disruption. This temporary closure highlights the balancing act between operational capacity and ongoing infrastructure adjustments.
Acting Head of the Corporate Secretary Division, Ahmad Pratomo, stressed that safety and security remain the primary priorities in MRT Jakarta’s daily operations. He noted that the company has consistently emphasized reliability in both scheduling and customer service. Travelers are also encouraged to consult MRT Jakarta’s official information channels for real-time updates. By doing so, the public can ensure smoother journeys even as certain restrictions remain in place.
PT MRT Jakarta has reiterated its commitment to providing safe, seamless, and comfortable transport for all its users. The company views these service adjustments not as setbacks but as part of a broader effort to maintain operational excellence. The decision underscores Jakarta’s growing reliance on modern mass transit as a solution to chronic urban congestion. As the network expands and adapts, public expectations will continue to shape the city’s transport future.
