The Provincial Government of Jakarta is inviting residents to experience the city’s latest breakthroughs through the Jakarta Innovation Days (JID) 2025, held from October 21 to 25 in the Dukuh Atas area of Central Jakarta. Organized by the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), the event showcases creative urban solutions that connect innovation with daily life. With the theme “15-Minute City,” it promotes the vision of a metropolis where residents can access all their essential needs within a short walk. The festival transforms Dukuh Atas into an open playground for exploration, learning, and collaboration, bringing innovation closer to the public.
Head of Bappeda, Atika Nur Rahmania, emphasized that JID 2025 serves as a shared platform for dialogue and partnership among various sectors. She explained that the event is more than a celebration—it’s a collaborative hub where communities, academics, and private sectors meet to exchange ideas that shape the city’s evolution. Atika highlighted that through this initiative, Jakarta demonstrates real and impactful progress in its development strategy. The program aligns with Jakarta’s broader vision of becoming a sustainable, globally competitive city.
With the spirit of “Explore, Connect, Impact!”, JID 2025 aims to spark fresh innovations and collaborations that respond to citizens’ evolving needs. The five-day festival will feature major activities such as Innovation Talks attended by the Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta, a Rector’s Summit gathering more than 150 university leaders nationwide, and the Jakarta Innovation Awards recognizing outstanding contributors. These sessions are designed to inspire participants to think critically about urban living and the future of Jakarta’s innovation ecosystem. Each activity is curated to foster active citizen participation in building a smarter, more connected city.
Beyond discussions, the festival also offers entertainment and creative showcases to attract wider public engagement. Visitors can enjoy live performances by artists like Danilla, Adrian Khalif, Wijaya 80, and Lalahuta, alongside mime acts, community events, outdoor cinema, and creative installations. The innovation booths and curated markets, supported by the Ministry of Creative Economy and Whiteboard Journal, will exhibit tangible examples of city-based innovation. Through Jakarta Innovation Days, the government reaffirms its commitment to building the city’s future hand in hand with its people, ensuring that every step toward modernization remains inclusive and collaborative.
