The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) officially ended the traffic engineering scheme along TB Simatupang–RA Kartini Street in South Jakarta on Monday, October 27, 2025. The canalization at the Fatmawati 2 Toll Gate is also no longer in effect. Head of Dishub DKI Jakarta, Syafrin Liputo, stated that traffic flow on the corridor has returned to normal following the completion of temporary measures aimed at easing congestion from the Antasari intersection to the Lebak Bulus area. He explained that the changes were part of efforts to support smoother vehicle movement during nearby construction activities.
Syafrin said the termination of the scheme was influenced by the completion of several infrastructure projects that previously occupied road space. These include the rearrangement of the Fatmawati intersection and the installation of underground piping systems. With those works finalized, traffic along the route has improved significantly, allowing authorities to restore the usual circulation pattern. According to Dishub, the coordination between contractors and traffic regulators during the period proved effective in minimizing disruptions.
Throughout the implementation, Dishub also reorganized public transportation activities, including the relocation of passenger pick-up and drop-off points near the Fatmawati MRT Station. The move was intended to maintain accessibility and ensure efficient mobility for residents. Syafrin highlighted that with traffic conditions now more stable and public transport services improving, the temporary adjustments were no longer needed. He emphasized that the city continues to monitor road performance to prevent renewed congestion in the area.
The Transportation Agency urged motorists to continue following traffic signs and officers’ directions on-site. Authorities also reminded drivers to prioritize safety, especially in areas where infrastructure upgrades are ongoing. The end of this traffic engineering marks a step toward normalizing South Jakarta’s mobility network after months of adjustments. Dishub expressed optimism that these improvements will support smoother daily commutes and more organized traffic flow citywide.
