The Director of Finance, Human Resources, and General Affairs of PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), Mayangsari Dian Irwantari, and the Chairman of Koperasi Wahana Kalpika (KWK), Taufik Azhar, officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (KKS) through the Transjakarta Academy.
The event was attended by the President Director, Welfizon Yuza, and the Director of Operations and Safety, Daud Joseph. This collaboration marks a new phase in strengthening operational synergy between Transjakarta and small-bus operators in Jakarta. It reflects Transjakarta’s ongoing effort to improve service quality and ensure safer, more professional driver performance across the capital’s transportation system.
The cooperation focuses on two main programs: Training and Renewal of Competency Certification for existing drivers, and Training and New Competency Certification for new ones. Both programs will be conducted under the supervision of the Professional Certification Institution (LSP) accredited by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Through these initiatives, Transjakarta aims to maintain high professional standards among its Mikrotrans drivers. The initiative also highlights the company’s commitment to continuous skill development within the urban public transport sector.
Mayang stated that Transjakarta currently operates 1,525 Mikrotrans units, serving an average of 600,000 passengers daily. She emphasized that this collaboration is a concrete step toward improving safety and service reliability for Jakarta’s growing commuter base. Transjakarta currently works with 11 small-bus operator partners, including KWK, PT Lestarisurya Gemapersada, Koperasi Minibus Karya Jakarta Raya, and several others. These partnerships form the backbone of the city’s integrated microtransit network.
According to Mayang, the partnership with KWK is part of a broader strategic framework focusing on Service, Strategic Partnership, and Sustainability. She underscored that the Transjakarta Academy will serve as a platform for structured training and certification to ensure all drivers meet the company’s strict safety and service standards. The initiative represents a long-term investment in workforce professionalism and passenger confidence. With this step, Transjakarta reaffirms its role as the leading public transport provider committed to safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility for all residents of Jakarta.
