Repairs on Karang Mangrove Road Fully Completed

The repair work on Karang Mangrove Road in Pulau Lancang, located in RT 03/03, Pulau Pari Village, South Thousand Islands District, has been officially completed. Village Head, Yusuf, stated that the project was funded through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) as part of efforts to improve local infrastructure. The initiative aims to provide better comfort and safety for residents as well as visiting tourists. The road, which serves as a key route to Karma Beach, was previously in poor condition and difficult to access.

According to Yusuf, the construction began on October 21, 2025, and was finished recently after several weeks of manual labor. The work was carried out by 42 members of the public service team known as the “Orange Troops.” The repaired section measures 30 meters in length and 1.7 meters in width, with concrete surfacing applied for durability. To enhance its aesthetic appeal, the road was painted in colorful patterns that also serve as an extra layer of protection.

Yusuf also urged local residents to take an active role in maintaining the road’s condition to ensure its longevity. He emphasized that a well-maintained environment not only promotes safety but also improves the overall appearance of the area. Such improvements, he noted, create a more welcoming atmosphere for both locals and tourists. The upgraded road is expected to strengthen community pride while supporting tourism growth in Pulau Pari.

One resident, Aziz (45), expressed gratitude for the project and the government’s commitment to improving local infrastructure. He said the road now looks neat, clean, and vibrant compared to its previous damaged state. Before the repairs, the surface was littered with stones and holes, making it dangerous to walk or drive through. Now, the colorful new road has transformed daily life in the neighborhood, making travel to Karma Beach safer and more enjoyable.
