3 Kg LPG Stock and Distribution Ensured Ahead of Year-End Holidays

The Jakarta Provincial Government, through the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM), along with a joint task force, has been ensuring the availability, price stability, and smooth distribution of subsidized 3-kilogram LPG cylinders across Jakarta ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations. The monitoring operation, which began on Monday, December 8, 2025, is a proactive measure to prevent shortages and unwarranted price increases at the consumer level. The task force includes representatives from PPKUKM, the Department of Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy (Disnakertransgi), the Regional Secretariat’s Bureau of Economy and Finance, Hiswana Migas, and Pertamina Patra Niaga.

Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, Head of PPKUKM DKI Jakarta, explained that monitoring is conducted directly across the distribution chain, covering agents, depots, and retailers. She emphasized that all monitored parties must hold valid business licenses. The results so far confirm that the 3-kilogram LPG stock is secure and that prices at both agents and depots remain consistent with the government-mandated maximum retail price (HET).

Allo further noted that agents, depots, and retailers have committed to remain operational during the Christmas and New Year holiday period, with guaranteed operating hours from 07:00 to 17:00 WIB. This ensures uninterrupted distribution to the public. She stressed that the distributors’ commitment during the holiday period is critical for guaranteeing that Jakarta residents have continuous access to energy supplies without disruption.

The Jakarta government will continue periodic monitoring and take firm action against potential irregularities to ensure that energy subsidies reach the intended beneficiaries and that price stability for essential goods is maintained. Allo commended the collaboration between Pertamina, Hiswana Migas, and all distributors in Central Jakarta for their commitment to safeguarding the supply chain. Current monitored prices are within the established limits: Rp14,466 per cylinder at agents, Rp16,000 per cylinder at depots, and Rp20,000 per cylinder at retail outlets.

On Monday, December 8, PPKUKM and the task force conducted inspections at distribution points in Central Jakarta, including the PT Cahaya Inti Gasindo Jaya agent, which receives supplies from SPBE Jakarta Utilitas Propertindo with a monthly quota of 37,880 cylinders distributed across 17 depots. Daily stock levels at depots are sufficient, and retailers maintain adequate supplies to serve the public. Allo confirmed that daily stock at both agents and depots is secure and sufficient to meet demand.
