Mayor of West Jakarta, Iin Mutmainnah, inaugurated a Sub-Branch Office of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) at IHC Pelni Hospital in Slipi, Palmerah. The opening marked a move to integrate financial services within a major public health facility. City officials framed the step as part of a broader effort to strengthen public service ecosystems. The initiative reflects growing attention to convenience and accessibility in urban governance.
Iin said the presence of a sharia-based bank inside the hospital complex would ease transactions for patients, families, and staff. By placing banking services alongside medical care, the city aims to reduce unnecessary travel and waiting time. The West Jakarta administration welcomed the move as a practical improvement in service efficiency. Health and financial needs, she noted, can now be addressed in one location.
The Mayor also conveyed congratulations to the Board of Directors and Management of Bank Syariah Indonesia. She praised the upgrade in banking service status at IHC Pelni Hospital as a positive institutional partnership. Such cooperation, she argued, supports smoother service delivery for the wider community. The city expects the model to strengthen trust between public institutions and residents.
Director of Risk Management of Bank Syariah Indonesia, Grandhis Helmi, said the establishment of the sub-branch followed strict feasibility studies. He emphasized that the bank’s presence demonstrates corporate commitment to supporting hospital facilities. Beyond banking services, the inauguration was accompanied by social assistance for orphans. The company expressed hope that the sub-branch would deliver tangible benefits to patients and the surrounding community.
