Matraman Police and Military Post Receive Fire Extinguisher Support

The recent distribution of fire extinguishers by Suku Dinas Penanggulangan Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan (Gulkarmat) of East Jakarta reflects a continuing push to strengthen local emergency readiness. The agency handed over four units of light fire extinguishers to the Matraman Police and Military Sub-District Command. This symbolic gesture highlights growing concern over fire vulnerability in densely populated areas. Muchtar emphasized that cooperation between agencies remains crucial for prevention efforts.

The handover ceremony brought together representatives from multiple institutions in a show of coordinated public safety management. Police Inspector Bambang Zaenudin accepted the equipment on behalf of the Matraman Police, while Sergeant, Candra Endo Putra represented the local military command. Both acknowledged that the added equipment supports their responsibility in early fire response. Their participation underscored the shared civic duty among security services.

District Head Muhammad Husnul Fauji welcomed the donation as support for the local GEMPAR program, a community-based fire prevention initiative. Fauji noted that such contributions could reduce the frequency of dangerous incidents in the district. His statement signaled the administration’s reliance on inter-agency collaboration to fortify safety mechanisms. The initiative’s success appears tied to sustained community vigilance.

Zaenudin explained that the equipment would be stored at the Matraman Police headquarters to strengthen existing resources. He noted that fire risks remain heightened during this period, requiring immediate readiness. Putra expressed similar expectations regarding faster response times in surrounding neighborhoods. Their remarks reinforced the broader message that preparedness can determine the outcome of critical situations.
