Full Revitalization Planned for Jakarta Pavilion at TMII

The Jakarta Provincial Government plans to fully revitalize the Jakarta pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah as part of preparations for the city’s 500th anniversary. Governor Pramono Anung announced the plan after chairing a limited meeting at City Hall on Tuesday (2/24). The revitalization is intended to refresh the pavilion’s appearance and strengthen its representation of Jakarta’s identity ahead of the historic milestone.

Pramono explained that the project will not rely on the regional budget (APBD). Instead, funding will come from compensation funds generated through the Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) mechanism. This approach is designed to ensure fiscal prudence while still enabling large-scale improvements.

For the initial phase, the administration has allocated Rp25 billion, with an additional Rp25 billion prepared for the next stage. The total Rp50 billion funding will be sourced entirely from KLB contributions. By using these alternative funds, the government aims to avoid burdening the regional budget.

The revitalization reflects Jakarta’s broader efforts to prepare for its 500th anniversary with strategic infrastructure and cultural enhancements. The Jakarta pavilion at Taman Mini is expected to play a key role in showcasing the capital’s heritage and development. Through careful planning and alternative financing, the administration seeks to deliver a meaningful upgrade ahead of the celebration.
