The West Jakarta Regional Job Training Center is taking steps to enhance workforce competitiveness through a specialized data analytics training program. Organized by Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah Jakarta Barat, the program is scheduled to run until April 28, 2026, with 20 participants enrolled. This initiative reflects the growing demand for digital skills in today’s job market. It also highlights the government’s role in preparing residents for data-driven industries.
Head of the training center, Siti Nurbaeti, explained that the program spans 20 working days and is open to Jakarta residents who registered through official channels. Siti noted that participants are selected to receive structured and intensive training. The curriculum includes fundamental data concepts, relational database management systems, and SQL query skills. These components are designed to build a strong technical foundation for participants.
Beyond technical basics, Siti Nurbaeti emphasized that the training also covers data visualization, dashboard creation, and data storytelling. Additional modules focus on monitoring operational data and career development, ensuring participants gain both technical and practical workplace skills. This comprehensive approach aims to prepare trainees for real-world data analysis roles. It also reflects the increasing importance of combining analytical skills with communication abilities.
Upon completion, participants will undergo a competency test to obtain certification from the Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi. Siti Nurbaeti expressed hope that the program will improve participants’ employability and competitiveness in the job market. The certification process, scheduled for late April, is expected to validate their newly acquired skills. Ultimately, the initiative serves as a pathway for residents to access better employment opportunities in the evolving digital economy.
