Wirobrajan Community Police Visit Local Daycare to Emphasize Childcare Standards

Efforts to ensure child safety and quality caregiving continue to be strengthened by the police through community-based initiatives. A neighborhood security officer (Bhabinkamtibmas) from Wirobrajan, Aiptu Sumaryanto, conducted a visit to Kawai Sikka Daycare as part of a coordinated monitoring effort. The activity involved local government representatives, the Sigrak team, and educators from HIMPAUDI, reflecting a collaborative approach to overseeing childcare services. This initiative aims to ensure that daycare facilities operate safely, responsibly, and in line with established standards.

During the visit, officials provided guidance on operational licensing and carried out inspections as a preventive measure against potential abuse or negligence. Aiptu Sumaryanto emphasized that daycare providers must comply with operational standards, including legal requirements, proper supervision, and the professionalism of caregivers. Transparency was highlighted as a key factor in building trust with parents, especially in environments where children’s safety is the primary concern. The visit also served as a reminder that childcare services must balance quality care with strict adherence to regulations.

Several critical aspects were identified as priorities, including the necessity of official permits, the installation of CCTV systems accessible to parents, and ensuring that caregivers possess adequate qualifications. These measures are intended to create a secure and accountable environment for children while giving parents peace of mind. By reinforcing these standards, authorities hope to minimize risks and improve the overall quality of childcare services.

This initiative reflects the broader commitment of the Indonesian National Police to protect communities, particularly children, through preventive and human-centered approaches. By working closely with local stakeholders and educational organizations, the program promotes a safer childcare ecosystem. Continued monitoring and guidance are expected to strengthen compliance and ensure that daycare facilities consistently meet safety and quality benchmarks.
