Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika forecasted mostly clear to lightly rainy weather conditions across Jakarta throughout Tuesday, May 19, 2026. According to the agency’s official weather outlook, light rain is expected to occur in Kepulauan Seribu during the morning hours. Meanwhile, other parts of Jakarta, including Jakarta Pusat, Jakarta Utara, Jakarta Barat, Jakarta Selatan, and Jakarta Timur, are expected to experience generally clear weather conditions. The favorable morning forecast is expected to support normal outdoor activities and commuter mobility across the capital region.
During the afternoon, partly cloudy skies are predicted over Kepulauan Seribu, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta. In contrast, North Jakarta and West Jakarta are expected to remain under clear skies. Weather conditions are forecast to improve further toward the evening, with clear weather expected to spread evenly across all Jakarta regions, including the Thousand Islands area. BMKG indicated that the stable weather pattern would likely continue into the evening in several parts of the city.
At night, clear weather is expected to persist over Kepulauan Seribu, North Jakarta, and West Jakarta, while partly cloudy conditions may occur in Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta. Overall, no significant extreme weather events are forecast for the Jakarta area throughout the day. The relatively stable atmospheric conditions are expected to reduce the potential for disruptions caused by heavy rainfall or thunderstorms. Residents are nevertheless encouraged to continue monitoring official weather updates, particularly those carrying out activities in coastal and island regions.
BMKG also reported that air temperatures across Jakarta today are expected to range between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels estimated between 66 and 92 percent. The combination of warm temperatures and relatively high humidity may create hot and humid conditions during midday and afternoon hours. Despite the generally favorable forecast, authorities continue to advise the public to remain aware of possible localized weather changes, especially during transitional seasonal periods.
