The KAMSA Program Eases Civil Administration Processes for Semper Timur Residents

The North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Office (Sudin Dukcapil) has expanded its outreach services through the Kampung Sadar Administrasi Kependudukan (KAMSA) program at the RW 06 community office in Semper Timur, Cilincing. The initiative is designed to ensure residents have complete civil registration documents without needing to visit district or city administration offices. According to Head of Population Registration Services, Pandapotan Sinambela, the program aims to eliminate administrative barriers that can hinder access to public services. By bringing services directly into neighborhoods, the government hopes to make population administration more accessible and convenient.

During the latest outreach event, residents accessed a range of administrative services, including the activation of 42 Digital Population Identity (IKD) accounts, the printing of four electronic identity cards, the issuance of two Child Identity Cards, and two birth certificates for adult residents. The team also provided civil registration consultations to ten residents seeking assistance with administrative matters. These services form part of the government’s broader effort to improve access to essential documentation. Officials believe complete civil records are fundamental to ensuring residents can fully access public services.

In addition to serving densely populated neighborhoods, the mobile outreach program is also being extended to schools across North Jakarta. The initiative is intended to help students approaching the age of 17 obtain their electronic identity cards on time before reaching adulthood. Officials said the KAMSA program will continue rotating through different communities as part of an ongoing commitment to deliver faster, simpler, and more transparent civil registration services. The administration hopes the program will further increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining complete and up-to-date population documents.

Residents have welcomed the initiative, highlighting its practical benefits. One participant, 60-year-old Fatimah from RW 06 in Semper Timur, said she successfully activated her Digital Population Identity during the event and appreciated the convenience of having her identification available on her mobile phone. She noted that the digital identity would simplify administrative procedures, particularly when seeking medical treatment or handling hospital paperwork. Feedback such as this reflects the program’s broader goal of making public services more efficient while encouraging greater adoption of digital government services.
