East Jakarta PKK Chairperson for Division I, Linda Kusmanto, visited the School Environment Introduction Program (MPLS) at Bale Bermain Mawar State Early Childhood Education Center (SPSN BB Mawar) in Cipayung District. During the visit, she greeted new students, encouraged them, and distributed snacks to help make their first day of school more enjoyable.
Linda said the orientation program was carried out in a cheerful atmosphere, with the children showing enthusiasm throughout the activities. She noted that the new students adapted well to their surroundings, confidently taking part in introductions to the school environment, teachers, and classmates without displaying fear or anxiety.
According to Linda, the MPLS program plays an important role in helping young children adjust to school, build self-confidence, and develop social skills from an early age. She expressed hope that the students would enjoy learning, quickly adapt to their new environment, and grow into confident, capable children. Parents were allowed to accompany their children to the school on the first day but were asked not to enter the classrooms so the children could begin learning independently.
One parent, Wati, said she was pleased that her child had enrolled at SPSN BB Mawar. She described the first day of school as an important milestone, giving children the opportunity to become familiar with a new environment outside the home while gradually adjusting to their teachers and classmates.
