The East Jakarta Social Affairs Sub-agency distributed emergency assistance to survivors of a fire on Jalan Pulomas Utara II B, Kayu Putih, Pulogadung, following a request from the local administration. The aid was symbolically handed over to the Kayu Putih Urban Village Head, along with neighborhood representatives, at the RW community office. According to East Jakarta Social Affairs Sub-agency Head Agata Bayu Putra, the assistance package consisted of seven essential items to help affected families meet their immediate needs. The initiative reflects the local government’s commitment to providing rapid humanitarian support after disasters.
The relief packages included five-kilogram bags of rice, instant noodles, two-liter bottles of cooking oil, sweet soy sauce, goodie bags, two packs of biscuits, and two cans of sardines. These basic necessities were prepared to ease the burden on families recovering from the fire while longer-term assistance is arranged. The distribution followed coordination between the Social Affairs Sub-agency and local officials to ensure the aid reached the intended recipients. Authorities emphasized that the support was provided in response to the community’s urgent needs.
Kayu Putih Urban Village Head Tuti Sugihastuti expressed appreciation for the assistance, describing it as valuable support for residents affected by the incident. She also revealed that local residents had raised Rp43.7 million in donations, which were handed directly to the victim’s family. The community fundraising effort demonstrated strong solidarity and collective support during a difficult time. Local officials praised residents for their willingness to help those impacted by the disaster.
In addition to humanitarian aid, the local administration assisted the affected family by issuing replacement civil documents. These included a Family Card, National Identity Card, and death certificates for Winston Budijanto Ongkowidjojo and Michella Budijanto Ongkowidjojo. The administrative support was intended to help the family complete essential legal processes following the tragedy. Through both material assistance and document services, the East Jakarta administration aims to help survivors recover and rebuild their lives after the fire.
