Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PMPTSP) DKI Jakarta has launched the 2026 Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) Summit at the Shangri-La Jakarta. Held from August 27 to 28, the summit brings together government officials, investors, businesses, academics, financial institutions, and development partners to discuss investment opportunities and Jakarta’s future development. Head of DKI Jakarta PMPTSP, Heru Hermawanto, said the event is designed to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and create more opportunities for investment. He emphasized that investment should not only be measured by its value, but also by its impact on jobs, economic growth, innovation, and the city’s competitiveness.
One of the key issues discussed at the summit is the transformation of Jakarta’s coastal areas, which requires cooperation across multiple sectors and strong investment support. Heru said the development of Jakarta as a global city depends on collaboration between the government, private sector, financial institutions, academics, and international partners. Through discussions, project presentations, and business meetings, JIF Summit 2026 aims to connect stakeholders with concrete investment opportunities. The government hopes these engagements will develop into business communications, partnerships, and eventually actual investment projects.
Head of the Jakarta Investment Centre at DKI Jakarta PMPTSP, Ezrin Kartika, said the first day of the summit featured four stages covering themes including future-proof cities, business opportunities, and investment. The program included presentations of strategic projects by Jakarta-owned enterprises, covering wastewater management, smart warehouses, transportation, tourism, and lifestyle sectors. Other programs included startup pitching, investment discussions, a session on women in leadership, and discussions on infrastructure, research, local currency transactions, and Jakarta’s film industry. Ezrin said the involvement of academics, financial institutions, businesses, and international partners was important for expanding Jakarta’s investment networks.
The summit will continue with an opening ceremony attended by Investment and Downstreaming Minister and Investment Coordinating Board Chief Rosan P. Roeslani, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo, and PMPTSP Head Heru Hermawanto. The agenda will include a plenary discussion titled Advancing Today, Securing Tomorrow, roundtable sessions, strategic project presentations, and a networking reception with memorandum of understanding signings. The Jakarta administration hopes JIF Summit 2026 will become more than a forum for exchanging ideas by creating concrete investment opportunities. Ultimately, the initiative is expected to support economic growth, job creation, innovation, and Jakarta’s long-term competitiveness.
