South Jakarta Mayor Syafrin Lipoto attended the official handover ceremony for the Deputy Mayors of South Jakarta and West Jakarta at the M.H. Thamrin Hall, West Jakarta Mayor’s Office. During the event, he emphasized that personnel rotations are a normal part of government service, but dedication to serving the public must remain unchanged. Syafrin expressed his appreciation for the outgoing Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta, Ali Murtadho, for his commitment and contributions during his tenure. He also wished Ali success in his new role as Deputy Mayor of West Jakarta.
Syafrin thanked Ali Murtadho for his dedication, loyalty, integrity, and hard work while serving the residents of South Jakarta. He said those qualities had played an important role in supporting public services and local government programs. According to Syafrin, although officials may be reassigned to different positions, their responsibility to deliver quality public services remains the same. He expressed confidence that Ali would continue making meaningful contributions in his new assignment.
Addressing the incoming Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta, Firmanuddin Ibrahim, Syafrin encouraged him to adapt quickly, build strong collaboration with local stakeholders, and continue improving public services. He noted that Firmanuddin’s previous experience as Regional Secretary of West Jakarta would help him manage the challenges and dynamics of governing South Jakarta. Syafrin said he was confident that their cooperation would strengthen efforts to provide better services for the community. He also expressed optimism that the new leadership team would continue supporting the development of South Jakarta.
As part of the leadership reshuffle, Ali Murtadho officially assumes the position of Deputy Mayor of West Jakarta, while Firmanuddin Ibrahim moves from his previous role as Regional Secretary of West Jakarta to become Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta. Both appointments officially take effect on August 1, 2026. The transition reflects the Jakarta Provincial Government’s routine rotation of senior officials to strengthen governance and enhance public service delivery across the capital. Officials hope the new assignments will ensure continuity in administration while bringing fresh perspectives to their respective regions.
