Hajj Minister Says 1447 AH Conference Marks Start of Upcoming Season’s Preparations

Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, who also serves as Chairman of the Guests of God Service Program Committee, announced that the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 1447 AH marks a key milestone in preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage season. He stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is continuously developing its Hajj service systems to fulfill the aspirations of its leadership while ensuring pilgrims receive an enhanced spiritual and logistical experience.

The conference, held at the Jeddah Superdome in western Saudi Arabia, took place under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and with the support of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The event signified a renewed commitment to elevating the standards of Hajj management and hospitality.

Al-Rabiah emphasized that this year’s conference achieved broad international participation, drawing more than 100,000 visitors from across the globe, including senior delegations from multiple countries. He highlighted that participating nations are utilizing the platform to strengthen partnerships, finalize service contracts, and exchange operational expertise in preparation for the coming Hajj season. Such collaboration, he noted, underscores the Kingdom’s effort to integrate institutional capabilities and coordinate effectively among relevant agencies. The growing international presence demonstrates the global importance of Hajj management as a model of efficiency and inclusivity.

The Minister explained that the continued success of these efforts reflects Saudi Arabia’s dedication to ensuring that every pilgrim experiences a smooth and well-organized journey. He recalled that the previous Hajj season recorded a 91 percent satisfaction rate, attributing the achievement to collective coordination, innovation, and technological adaptation. Al-Rabiah expressed optimism that similar or greater success will be achieved in the upcoming season as the Kingdom deepens its reform initiatives in pilgrim services. He reiterated that continuous improvement is central to achieving the leadership’s vision of delivering world-class hospitality to the Guests of God.

The fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition 1447 AH covers 60,000 square meters and features 225 speakers engaged in over 80 panel discussions and 60 specialized workshops. The event functions as a hub for innovation, training, and inter-agency collaboration aimed at advancing the operational and spiritual aspects of the pilgrimage. Through this platform, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its role as the global leader in Hajj organization and management. As the Kingdom continues to combine tradition with modernity, the conference stands as a symbol of its enduring commitment to serving millions of pilgrims with excellence and devotion.
