Ahmad Yani Park Transformation Enhances Green Space and Community Experience

The revitalization of Ahmad Yani Park in Pisangan Timur is underway as the East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency redesigns a 1,500-square-meter space to be greener, more organized, and more comfortable for residents. The work, conducted by a contractor selected through an e-Catalog auction, began on November 19 and is expected to finish by December 18 with funding from the 2025 Revised Regional Budget. Early progress has reached five percent and includes the construction of an exercise area, a mini jogging track, and the installation of fencing and lighting. These specifications reflect a focus on building a functional and accessible public facility for community activities.

Additional elements in the redesign include new pedestrian paths, a park name sign, and aesthetic improvements such as 536 square meters of elephant grass. The project also upgrades utilities through a new 3,500-volt-ampere electrical connection to support improved lighting across the park. The combination of infrastructure and landscaping upgrades shows a balance between visual appeal and practical usability. The improvements are designed to increase safety and comfort for daily park visitors.

Local residents have expressed appreciation for the revitalization efforts and hope for more child-friendly facilities as the project progresses. The park’s high weekend activity levels indicate its importance as a gathering point for the community. The revitalization demonstrates the city government’s commitment to improving public spaces and enhancing community well-being. The project aims to deliver a modern and welcoming park environment that supports recreation for all age groups.
