The launch of the South Jakarta Immigration Stay Permit Lounge, known as SIMPLE, at the Mal Pelayanan Publik (MPP) DKI Jakarta marks a significant upgrade in public service delivery. Designed by the South Jakarta Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office, the facility offers exclusive stay-permit services tailored for foreign investors and Golden Visa holders.
The lounge concept emphasizes comfort, privacy, and international service standards. This initiative aligns with national goals set by President Prabowo Subianto and the acceleration agenda of Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Andrianto, to boost investment inflows.
SIMPLE strengthens cross-agency collaboration within the MPP by offering a one-stop service experience. It streamlines stay-permit applications and related administrative needs, especially for foreigners seeking KITAS or KITAP documentation. The effort received commendation from Head of the Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Services Agency (PMPTSP), Heru Hermawanto, who highlighted its role in enhancing service quality. His remarks underscore how digital transformation continues reshaping Jakarta’s public service landscape.
Further support came from Acting Director General of Immigration, Brigadier General Yuldi Yusman, who emphasized the commitment to modern, responsive, and investment-friendly immigration services. He noted that demand for premium services has risen sharply, jumping from 928 users in 2023 to 1,546 in 2024 and reaching 2,438 between January and October 2025. South Jakarta has also emerged as a major hub for Golden Visa holders, recording 83 investors with investment commitments totaling Rp115.9 billion. These figures reinforce the strategic value of SIMPLE in national economic competitiveness.
The new lounge incorporates comprehensive digitalization, integrated information systems, and user-friendly communication designed to reflect PRIMA service values, meaning Professional, Responsive, Integrity-driven, Modern, and Accountable. Its presence also expands the diversity of immigration services offered in South Jakarta, including categories such as Second Home Visa, Former Indonesian Citizen permits, Global Talent pathways, and Silver Hair Visa programs. These additions demonstrate how immigration services are adapting to global mobility trends. SIMPLE ultimately positions Jakarta as a leading model for investor-focused stay-permit services nationwide.
