DKI Inspectorate Holds Forum to Discuss BPK Audit Findings

The Jakarta Provincial Inspectorate held a discussion forum to review responses to preliminary audit findings from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia as well as proposed correction journals for the audited 2025 Regional Government Financial Report. The forum took place over four days from May 4 to May 7, 2026, and involved leaders of regional government agencies, hospital directors, and regional-owned enterprises. The event was officially opened by Jakarta Regional Secretary Uus Kuswanto. The discussion reflects the provincial government’s effort to strengthen financial accountability and improve the quality of its financial reporting process.

In his remarks, Uus Kuswanto urged all regional government agencies to seriously address the audit notes submitted by the Jakarta representative office of the Audit Board. He described the forum as a crucial opportunity to resolve deficiencies before the financial statements are finalized. Uus emphasized that no regional agency or regional-owned enterprise should contribute significant issues that could affect Jakarta’s goal of maintaining an Unqualified Opinion on its financial report. The provincial government is targeting its ninth consecutive Unqualified Opinion achievement for the 2025 fiscal year.

Uus also instructed agency heads to use the forum effectively to prepare comprehensive responses and resolve outstanding issues thoroughly. He stressed the importance of providing strong supporting evidence for further discussions with the audit team. Meanwhile, Jakarta Provincial Inspector Dhany Sukma explained that as of April 20, 2026, the provincial government had received 22 preliminary audit findings from the Audit Board team. The findings were grouped into two main categories, namely administrative examinations and regulatory compliance issues.

According to Dhany Sukma, the compliance-related findings include delays in procurement implementation without penalties, deficiencies in work volume, and the need to optimize revenue from asset utilization partnerships. After the discussion forum concludes, the Regional Financial Management Agency, the Regional Asset Management Agency, the Inspectorate, and the Audit Board team will finalize the audited 2025 Regional Government Financial Report. The final audit report will later be formally submitted by the Audit Board to the Jakarta Regional House of Representatives during a special plenary session.
