Tambora Residents Receive 22 Land Certificates from Local Legislative Committee

Officials in West Jakarta have handed over 22 land certificates to residents of Tambora District through Indonesia’s Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) program. The certificates were presented during a ceremony at the Kalijodo RPTRA community space as part of ongoing efforts to provide legal land ownership documents for local residents.

Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) member Djamilah Abdul Gani said the special committee on agrarian reform has been working closely with the National Land Agency (BPN) to oversee the certification process. She added that the committee will continue monitoring the program, as many residents are still waiting for their land certificates to be completed.

West Jakarta Mayor Iin Muthmainah also urged district and subdistrict officials to closely monitor the program and identify residents whose applications remain unfinished. She emphasized the importance of ensuring eligible residents receive assistance throughout the certification process.

Meanwhile, West Jakarta BPN Head Shinta Purwitasari explained that many applications remain incomplete because supporting documents have not yet been fully submitted. She said coordination with the DPRD has helped improve communication with residents, making it easier to complete administrative requirements. Since 2017, the PTSL program has issued land certificates for more than 41,700 land parcels in West Jakarta.
